Examiner Newspaper - Eatery Closures
Today's Examiner reports: "Cathryn Gibson, who is behind the Facebook page Heads Up Food Guide, said she wasn't surprised by industry closures, although two popular eateries closing their doors did catch her off-guard. While there are different reasons these restaurants didn't continue, operating a hospitality establishment could be particularly hard, Ms Gibson said. "Costs and overheads constantly escalate so good business practices and management will determine the fate of any business, hospitality or otherwise," she said. "I think the [local food] scene is particularly strong, as one would expect for this time of year - in fact, I have never seen it so busy. "It's quite evident that more people are eating out on a regular basis."
