It's quickly approaching the festive season, and Launceston peops are out and about enjoying the variety of eating options available around the city & countryside.

Unfortunately we have lost a restaurant that was proving to be a solid favourite for many. Kleiner Baum European Kitchen has closed its doors due to unforeseen circumstances. Very sad to see this one go - such generous and honest meals, cooked from the heart in the true style of traditional European food & cooking.
Abel Tasman Restaurant at Youngtown closed down some months ago but is freshly reopened offering a great variety of meals at very reasonable prices. Heard nothing but good reviews but haven't visited as yet.
Fraggle's Fish & Chip Shop has opened at 297 Invermay Road (the ex Rite-Bite shop) and to all accords, is quickly proving to be very popular. Customers are reporting fabulous dishes, freshly battered fish, crunchy chips and potato cakes to boot. They're open 10.30am-7.30pm Monday to Saturday.
