When the Salsa Tapas Bar closed last December, a void was left on the Seaport Boardwalk. But no more, the Spice Lounge Restaurant & Bar has decked the space out and brought a new lease of life to the area with their authentic Indian Punjab cuisine. Reports are pouring in with nothing but positive comments for its authenticity and excellence. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this takes the number of Indian restaurant choices to 10, in our fair city. A last minute plan, my gal pal & I, decided to meet up for a business lunch. And we're so pleased we did!

How totally refreshing to be warmly welcomed with a smile and attitude that exudes great hospitality. Always the best start in my humble opinion.

Mani, co-owner, presented us with the special lunch menu at just $11.90 - I doubt whether it will stay at this low price for long but it certainly is a great little selection sure to satisfy everyone's tastebuds. The deal is, pick 2 curries to accompany the naan bread, pappadum, salad, steamed rice & pickle. Gal pal chose Butter Chicken & Malai Kofta & moi, Beef Vindaloo & Paleek Paneer.
