Things are heating up on the food scene again.

Garden of Vegan finally revealed their new location as 39 Cameron St., street level floor of the Batman Fawkner Inn (ex. Cornwall Hotel). A larger, airier space to accommodate their loyal customer base, Garden of Vegan is receiving great reviews in their new premises.

*** MEAT BREAD CHEESE ***

MEAT BREAD CHEESE began their venture at Harvest Market, not realising that within months, they would be opening up a café as well. Natasha & Anton Gretschmann-Anderson have picked the space up that Garden of Vegan vacated. MBC offers quite the opposite of their forebears, BUT, the thing they have in common, is providing a quality menu with an emphasis on locally sourced fresh ingredients. Their motto, "We believe in Tasmanian farms, in free range meats, outstanding cheeses, and freshly baked bread. Most of all we believe in damn good sandwiches!" Don't rush in quite yet, the opening is planned for 08 May, and with the reaction on Meat Bread Cheese's FB page, I think there'll be a long line up! To whet your appetite, take a look at their proposed menu & opening times by clicking on the logo here: -

They will continue at the Harvest Market every Saturday.

Temptations in Yorktown Square regrettably shut up shop when their lease was cut short at the end of March. A shame to see, as they were offering all day dining specialising in Indian & Chinese fare.

WiseGuise, a new Pizza & Dessert Café, is opening at 447 Invermay Rd., Mowbray on the 4th of May.
