The Launceston Food Scene 2014

A little premature, I know, but just as I think I can safely say, there will be no drastic changes to the Eating Scene in Northern Tasmania by the end of the year", updates are still rolling in - the most recent being: RED TED'S TAVERN has now been renamed the KINGS BRIDGE BAR AND RESTAURANT A name & ownership change for the shortlived Red Ted's Tavern. Opening about 4 & 1/2 months ago, unfortunately the owner had to sell due to ill health. New Victorian owners, Jane & Damien Hodge, are looking forward to introducing a new international flavour to the historic & stately Penny Royal building with their Kings Bridge Bar and Restaurant.

SALSA TAPAS WINE BAR opened its doors at Seaport, almost 3 & 1/2 years ago & closes its doors on 21 December, 2014. A favourite amongst locals & tourists alike, I hope it won't stay sitting there idle, but enjoy a vibrant new beginning, whether it be as the same name or something entirely different.
